Healing Pets, Helping Families

Our Method

What to Expect at STVS:

Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to help you and your pet. Below are some step by step instructions that may help you ease into the process here at our hospital. Please feel free to ask us any questions you may have upon arrival.

STVS is housed in VREC (Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center). When you walk into VREC, you will see STVS to your right and VIC/EPC (Veterinary Imaging Center/Emergency Pet Center) on your left. Go to the reception desk at STVS, and we will be happy to help you. If you are being referred to our dermatology center, take the elevator to the second floor.

Once you are at the STVS desk, you will be asked to fill out some paperwork. If this is your first appointment, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out the required paperwork.  All relevant lab reports, radiographs, and pertinent information should be sent to us by your primary care veterinarian prior to your pet’s visit here at STVS. Please complete the client information form on our “Forms” page prior to arrival so that we can make your process even faster.

A complete estimate of anticipated charges will be given at the initial visit/consultation for all specialty services. A deposit is usually required at the time of admission to the hospital. STVS also offers third party financing for qualified individuals through CareCredit. Our reception team can provide you with that information in the hospital.

 Visitation:

We understand that you may be worried about your pet when he is here in the hospital, so we invite you to visit him or her. You may visit your pet during our normal business hours Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Monday through Friday evenings, the critical care team will allow you to visit your pet between the hours of 9:00pm and 10:00pm. It is helpful to remember that they are providing care for a number of patients and are not authorized to discuss your pet’s treatment without your doctor.
