STVS prides itself on our collaborative partnerships with our referring veterinarians, giving exceptional patient care, and excellent client service. We are a fast paced, exciting referral practice specializing in veterinary surgery, internal medicine, oncology, critical care, physical rehabilitation, dermatology, and neurology. Our practice is located in the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center (VREC), a 19,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility on Sonterra Blvd. As our patient load increases, so does our need for outstanding staff.  If you would like to join our team, please peruse the following job listings. Please return frequently as our needs will change over time.

Support Staff

Current Opportunities:

Surgery Technician (Day Shift)

South Texas Veterinary Specialists is currently accepting applications for full time technicians to join our surgical and critical care team. We are seeking experienced applicants with exceptional nursing skills who are willing to practice the highest level of patient care. Surgical and anesthesia experience is a plus, but we will train the right candidate. Salary is competitive in the region and based on attitude and experience.  Our dedication to our patients extends to off hour emergencies, and some on-call duty is required.

Internal Medicine Technicians (Day Shift)

These IM technicians work very closely with our internal medicine doctors, providing support in working with clients, helping out with procedures, maintaining good communication with referring veterinarians, and other tasks as assigned.  Our technicians are an integral part of the practice and all your skills will be fully utilized. Previous veterinary technician experience is also required for this position.
