STVS is pleased to welcome Dr. Ron Ben-Amotz to its surgery team. |

Dr. Ron Ben-Amotz comes to STVS from the Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center where he completed his ACVS approved surgical residency and masters program this summer. After receiving his DVM in 2004, he went on to complete a rotating internship at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007 and a surgical internship at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in 2008. Ron has strong interest in orthopedic cases as well as wound management and reconstruction. He completed his research studying the protective effect of bilirubin on ischemia and reperfusion injury on a rat heart model with Dr. Adin, Dr. Bonagura, and Dr. Hamlin. |

Dr. Jennifer Wiley received her veterinary degree from Purdue University in 2006. She completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Illinois in 2007 and a medical oncology residency at the University of Pennsylvania in 2010. Dr. Wiley comes to STVS after a year in private practice in Dallas. Dr. Wiley's research interests include hemangiosarcoma, histiocytic sarcoma, multiple concurrent malignancies, and comparative medicine. Dr. Wiley is devoted to helping oncology patients and clients with their physical and emotional battles through cancer diagnosis and treatment. She has a close personal connection to oncology by having a strong family history and a genetic predisposition to cancer. Her personal experiences help to strengthen client relationships and brings a steadfast compassion into her medicine. |
