MRI comes to Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center |
 South Texas Veterinary Specialists is proud to have access to one of the most advanced diagnostic tools available in veterinary medicine. South Texas Veterinary MRI has joined us at VREC. Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) uses the latest in magnetic field imaging rather than X-ray technology to produce very clear images of the body. MRI is the best diagnostic test that can differentiate between bone, soft tissue, gas, fluids and fat. STVS Announces Critical Care Service |

STVS is pleased to offer expanded service for patients needing immediate advanced care or diagnostics through the newly formed Critical Care Service. Staffed by veterinarians with extensive experience in critical care and emergency medicine, our goal is to be available when you need us. Just a few examples of illnesses addressed by this service include congestive heart failure, pneumonia, uncontrolled diabetics, traumatic injuries, heat stroke, burns, seizures, meningitis, head trauma, and intoxications. Patients seen by the CCS may be transferred to other specialty services such as surgery or internal medicine at your veterinarians request. |
