| Job Description | South Texas Veterinary Specialists is currently accepting applications for full time technicians to join our team. We are a fast paced, exciting referral practice specializing in veterinary surgery, veterinary internal medicine and oncology, physical therapy/rehabilitation, veterinary ophthalmology and veterinary dermatology. Our practice has expanded to the Veterinary Referral and Emergency Center of South Texas (VREC), a new 19,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility. As our patient load increases, so does our need for outstanding technicians. We are seeking applicants with exceptional nursing skills who are willing to practice the highest level of patient care. Our areas of need include surgery technicians and patient care technicians, both day and night shifts. Experience in any of these areas is a plus, but we will train the right candidate. Our technicians are an integral part of the practice and all your skills will be fully utilized. Applicants must be able to thrive in a challenging environment, play well with others, and be willing to learn new things every day. We offer an excellent benefit package including health insurance, simple IRA, CE, vacation and sick days. Salary is competitive in the region and based on attitude and experience. Our dedication to our patients extends to off-hour emergencies so some on-call duty may be required once technicians have gained the appropriate skill level.
