Heather has been working in the veterinary field for 8 years.  Her love for her job inspired her to go to college in 2003.  In 2006, she graduated from St. Petersburg College and moved to Texas.  At South Texas Veterinary Specialists, she found a new passion for Internal Medicine.  Heather has a dog named Shortbus, 2 cats, 2 birds, and a horse. 

Sandy Durieux
Sandy has been a veterinary technician for 27 years.  She started in a general practice working with dogs, cats, horses, and a wide range of exotics, but has worked in speciality practice since 2002.  She enjoys all areas of veterinary medicine, but has truly found a home in Internal Medicine.  Sandy has 3 dogs, 6 cats, and a barn full of horses!
