She is a Certified Canine Massage Provider from the Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage. Becky operated her own canine massage business before coming to STVS. Becky completed the University of Tennessee Certificate program in Canine Rehabilitation where she studied comparative anatomy, commonly seen orthopedic and neurologic conditions, commonly used therapeutic interventions, heat therapy, cryotherapy, electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and other emerging modalities, aquatic rehabilitation, joint mobilization, measuring, assessment score aquatic activities, therapeutic exercise, assistive devices, slings, carts, hoyer lifts, evaluation and documentation of the rehabilitation patient. She completed an elective course on the stifle (canine knee) where she studied the anatomy, structure and function, the biomechanics of the stifle joint, traumatic injuries of the stifle and their treatments, osteoarthritis of the stifle, and physical rehabilitation of the stifle joint condistions. Becky is from Louisiana and now lives in San Antonio with her husband and two dogs, Fuji, a German Shorthaired Pointer, and Julep, a Jack Russell/Dachshund mix. Michelle Mock, CVT Michelle discovered her passion for animals when she rescued a Chihuahua mix named MonaLisa from hurricane Katrina in 2005. Shortly after that, Michelle became a Certified Veterinary Assistant through an animal hospital north of Austin, Texas. She is also a frequent pet sitter and volunteer at the Utopia Animal Rescue Ranch. Michelle has worked in many aspects of the veterinary world including surgery, dental cleaning, the exam room, kennel, and adoption. Michelle joined the STVS physical rehabilitation department in 2011 and is thrilled to honor MonaLisa's memory every day by helping rehabilitate dogs and making sure they get plenty of cuddles! Her best friend is a rescued basset hound/dachshund mix name Rhett Butler who loves to work out in the aquatic treadmill.
