Rhinoscopy may be indicated in dogs and cats with nasal discharge, nasal obstruction, chronic sneezing, bloody nose, facial distortion, nasal pain, acute severe sneezing, reverse sneezing and abnormal radiographs. This procedure has limitations in the examination of the nose; however, biopsies of the area can be taken. Evaluating the nasal cavity and sinuses with a CT scan is very beneficial and always suggested as a part of a nasal work up.
